The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hüseyin Turan Neşat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Müfit Akkanoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 17 minutes, Devlet Bayazid made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Emirgan's Hüseyin Turan Neşat tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Müfit Akkanoğlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hüseyin Turan Neşat was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Hüseyin Turan Neşat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Müfit Akkanoğlu went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Emirgan's Hüseyin Turan Neşat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Müfit Akkanoğlu in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Müfit Akkanoğlu to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Devlet Bayazid recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hüseyin Turan Neşat. Devlet Bayazid showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in Emirgan's zone, Devlet Bayazid stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hüseyin Turan Neşat came out of the goal and Devlet Bayazid tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Müfit Akkanoğlu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hüseyin Turan Neşat having to make a save. With a little luck, Emirgan's Hüseyin Turan Neşat got control of the ball when Devlet Bayazid tried to sneak it across the goal line. Devlet Bayazid struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Hüseyin Turan Neşat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canakci. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Yusuf Bahadır Oyum managed to get in a good position for a shot. Emirgan's supporters rose to their feet, but Yusuf Bahadır Oyum was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Savaş Suerdem breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Devlet Bayazid came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Canakci fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Devlet Bayazid couldn't finish the play. Devlet Bayazid could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Hüseyin Turan Neşat made a huge save. Emirgan's Hüseyin Turan Neşat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Emirgan from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Emirgan's Hüseyin Turan Neşat got control of the ball when Devlet Bayazid tried to sneak it across the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Yavuz Selimhan Baler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canakci's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Emirgan the free kick. A collision led to Canakci getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Hüseyin Turan Neşat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Müfit Akkanoğlu in the 87th minute of play. Canakci's Müfit Akkanoğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hüseyin Turan Neşat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Müfit Akkanoğlu in the 95th minute of the match.
