Tanju Karacabey didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Devlet Bayazid went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Tanju Karacabey didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 10th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. In the 17th minute Andaç Özpinar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Savaş Suerdem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Batu Bican got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tanju Karacabey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Müfit Akkanoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Müfit Akkanoğlu in the 27th minute of play forced Bucaspor's goalkeeper Tanju Karacabey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Müfit Akkanoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Bucaspor's Tanju Karacabey got control of the ball when Devlet Bayazid tried to sneak it across the goal line. Müfit Akkanoğlu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Tanju Karacabey when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 38 minutes, Devlet Bayazid managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canakci's supporters crossed their fingers, but Devlet Bayazid was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bucaspor's Tanju Karacabey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Müfit Akkanoğlu in the 41st minute of play. In the 52ndth minute of the game Batu Bican who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canakci's Savaş Suerdem was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Müfit Akkanoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanju Karacabey having to interfere. After 68 minutes of play, Canakci's Devlet Bayazid made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tanju Karacabey was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Canakci booed when Bucaspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genco Türköz didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Derviş Latif fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bucaspor's protests and gave Derviş Latif a yellow card for diving instead. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bucaspor! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Devlet Bayazid in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tanju Karacabey saved Bucaspor from getting behind. 82 minutes into the game, Ergincan Ensar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bucaspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canakci the free kick. After 82 played minutes Bucaspor got a freekick which was hit by Ergincan Ensar. After some careless play in the Bucaspor defense, Devlet Bayazid kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tanju Karacabey. The Bucaspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tanju Karacabey should have stopped the shot. Bucaspor's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
