Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Yeni Malatyaspor's Sertel Hallaçoğlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Yeni Malatyaspor from getting a goal against them. Merih Şabi was extremely unlucky when he, in the 9th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ersin Yöner might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sertel Hallaçoğlu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Merih Şabi did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Sertel Hallaçoğlu 12 minutes into the match. Yeni Malatyaspor's Sertel Hallaçoğlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Yeni Malatyaspor from getting a goal against them. If Merih Şabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nihat Yoruk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anıl Mücahit Elçin took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Şerif Suer. Şerif Suer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Nihat Yoruk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şerif Suer having to interfere. Karadeniz Ünek hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Merih Şabi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ersin Yöner to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Ersin Yöner cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Sertel Hallaçoğlu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Merih Şabi in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sertel Hallaçoğlu saved Yeni Malatyaspor from getting behind. Merih Şabi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sertel Hallaçoğlu having to interfere. The supporters of Yeni Malatyaspor booed when TRABZONSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dilaver Kartay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Şerif Suer was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Anıl Mücahit Elçin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Merih Şabi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sertel Hallaçoğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, TRABZONSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Anıl Mücahit Elçin came free, but Şerif Suer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. TRABZONSPOR's Şerif Suer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karadeniz Ünek in the 97th minute of play.
