Göztepe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ataman Nedim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Güral Vahdet was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ali Emir Ergün showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 14 minute of play. Şentürk Peker didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tevfik Engiay went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 22 minutes into the match, Ataman Nedim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Şentürk Peker. Göztepe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ataman Nedim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Güral Vahdet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dursun Demiralp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the game, Tevfik Engiay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Şentürk Peker was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 32 minutes into the game, Mahsun Özerk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kovancilar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Göztepe the free kick. A collision led to Kovancilar getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Mahsun Özerk hit a great ball. Arcan Boztepe's late challenge caught a Göztepe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arcan Boztepe helped the player get up and apologised. Abbas Denizhan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Güral Vahdet. Kovancilar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tevfik Engiay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arcan Boztepe was shown his second yellow card after 44 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The Göztepe players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kovancilar were winning 1-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dursun Demiralp was the one to do the kick off. Şentürk Peker made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Tevfik Engiay sent off a good shot on target. After 55 minutes, Dursun Demiralp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Göztepe and the Kovancilar players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dursun Demiralp kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Kovancilar's Tevfik Engiay got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ataman Nedim struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Şentürk Peker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kovancilar. In the 62nd minute Nazım Ogansoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Güral Vahdet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abbas Denizhan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Güral Vahdet. Kovancilar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mehmet Çağrı Dalmaz charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mehmet Çağrı Dalmaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mehmet Çağrı Dalmaz hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After having played for 68 minutes, Mehmet Çağrı Dalmaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kovancilar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mehmet Çağrı Dalmaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tevfik Engiay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the game, Halis Temizkan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kovancilar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Göztepe the free kick. After 71 played minutes Kovancilar got a freekick which was hit by Halis Temizkan. 74 minutes into the match, Nazım Ogansoy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Güral Vahdet. Kovancilar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nazım Ogansoy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. If Tevfik Engiay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 minutes of play, Göztepe's Dursun Demiralp made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Güral Vahdet was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 90th minute, Tevfik Engiay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kovancilar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-5. If Tevfik Engiay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Göztepe's Şentürk Peker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Halis Temizkan in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Kovancilar left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Göztepe.
