Spectators: 7227 (Terracing: 5422, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Müjdat Özalp kicked off to start the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arda Baybars Nurdag during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Müjdat Özalp in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Şentürk Peker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 20 minutes into the match, Kecierengücü's goal looked a bit too open when Nazım Ogansoy came free, but Süleyman Tayguner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Müjdat Özalp was extremely unlucky when he, in the 21st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Abdi Saygın Süngü had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Abdi Saygın Süngü sped through Göztepe's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Şentürk Peker. 37 minutes into the match, Göztepe's goal looked a bit too open when Müjdat Özalp came free, but Şentürk Peker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Kecierengücü's Abdi Saygın Süngü sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Şentürk Peker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Abdi Saygın Süngü's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Şentürk Peker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

If Abdi Saygın Süngü had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Şentürk Peker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Müjdat Özalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60thth minute of the game Müjdat Özalp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Göztepe's Şentürk Peker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Şentürk Peker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Müjdat Özalp in the 63rd minute of play. Gürsel Kuntman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Şentürk Peker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Müjdat Özalp came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Kecierengücü fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Müjdat Özalp couldn't finish the play. After 83 minutes, Gürsel Kuntman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kecierengücü and the Göztepe players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd minute, Gürsel Kuntman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abdi Saygın Süngü fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şentürk Peker having to interfere. There was no doubt that Kecierengücü were the better team. Kecierengücü's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
