The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Kecierengücü's Süleyman Tayguner got control of the ball when Tevfik Engiay tried to sneak it across the goal line. Süleyman Tayguner made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 24th minute, Abdi Saygın Süngü made a precise shot to the right of Güral Vahdet. Kovancilar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 28th minute, Abdi Saygın Süngü got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Güral Vahdet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Müjdat Özalp in the 30th minute of the match. A collision led to Kovancilar getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Arcan Boztepe hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kovancilar's zone, Müjdat Özalp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Güral Vahdet came out of the goal and Müjdat Özalp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the game, Arcan Boztepe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kovancilar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kecierengücü the free kick. Arcan Boztepe hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Süleyman Tayguner successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Tevfik Engiay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Süleyman Tayguner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tevfik Engiay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Müjdat Özalp was the one to do the kick off. Müjdat Özalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Süleyman Tayguner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tevfik Engiay in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute Ataman Nedim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Süleyman Tayguner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Güral Vahdet was a little too slow when Müjdat Özalp got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 2-2. In the 84th minute Kovancilar were awarded a corner. Özgür Berksan went to the cornerflag to take it. Abdi Saygın Süngü kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match.
