Geyve's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berke Arınç was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Geyve's zone, Caner Sezal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Emir Pekin came out of the goal and Caner Sezal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ahmet Orhan Teksoy made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Berke Arınç sent off a good shot on target. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Basri Toköz made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caner Sezal during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 60th match minute, Trabzonspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caner Sezal to maneuver through the defense. Geyve's Berke Arınç got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caner Sezal in the 68th minute of play forced Geyve's goalkeeper Ahmet Emir Pekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caner Sezal was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 92nd minute, Berke Arınç got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Neşat Aydınalp got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Trabzonspor played a much better game than Geyve and deserved their victory. The Geyve players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
