The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to AKİNESPOR getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. İsa Rafiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tümer Lokman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. İsa Rafiz ran back to his position shaking his head. Mazhar Öztek who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Tümer Lokman when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Aytaç Acaröz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. İsa Rafiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 22 played minutes AKİNESPOR got a freekick which was hit by Aykutalp Tezalp. In the 29th minute, Boğaç Çokay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AKİNESPOR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Boğaç Çokay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Seyrani Kuddus to make the kick off. Seyrani Kuddus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ali Numan Yula made an important save on a dangerous shot by Boğaç Çokay in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute, Seyrani Kuddus fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ali Numan Yula, passed just outside the right post. AKİNESPOR's Tümer Lokman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İsa Rafiz in the 94th minute of play. İsa Rafiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tümer Lokman having to interfere. Tümer Lokman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mazhar Öztek in the 97th minute of the match. When the match was over AKİNESPOR could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Igdir throughout the match.
