Abdulmelik İmge made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Cahit Sayraç sent off a good shot on target. In the 8th minute Calpspor were awarded a corner. Suavi Esentürk went to the cornerflag to take it. Calpspor's Suavi Esentürk was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Abdulmelik İmge in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emirhan Şölen during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Suavi Esentürk received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Abdulmelik İmge came out and tried to block the shot, but Suavi Esentürk slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 11th minute. Eşref Seyfullah charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eşref Seyfullah the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eşref Seyfullah kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Abdulmelik İmge came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Calpspor's Orhan Seyfi Saltık. But to his dismay, Orhan Seyfi Saltık quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 24 minutes into the match, Calpspor's goal looked a bit too open when Eşref Seyfullah came free, but Korkut Ünan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calpspor's Korkut Ünan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oğuzcan Tapgaç in the 25th minute of play. In the 29th minute Suavi Esentürk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdulmelik İmge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cahit Sayraç could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Abdulmelik İmge made a huge save. 32 minutes into the game, Armağan Olcay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Calpspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave İstanbul FC the free kick. The audience was convinced that Suavi Esentürk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abdulmelik İmge was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. If Orhan Seyfi Saltık had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Emirhan Şölen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute, Calpspor's Orhan Seyfi Saltık dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Suavi Esentürk to make the kick off. The supporters of Calpspor booed when İstanbul FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cahit Sayraç in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abdulmelik İmge saved İstanbul FC from getting behind. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Calpspor had played much better football throughout.
