Elcispor's Erdeniz Teber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reşat İlcan in the 12th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Elcispor's zone, Erdinç Hatemoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erdeniz Teber came out of the goal and Erdinç Hatemoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bayram Balatekin hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Erdinç Hatemoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kadiköy's supporters rose to their feet, but Erdinç Hatemoğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erdeniz Teber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erdeniz Teber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erdinç Hatemoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Erdinç Hatemoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reşat İlcan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erdeniz Teber read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Erdinç Hatemoğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bayram Balatekin kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Elcispor's Erdeniz Teber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erdinç Hatemoğlu in the 30th minute of play. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Elcispor's goalkeeper Erdeniz Teber, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Erdinç Hatemoğlu took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erdeniz Teber. Erdeniz Teber dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Erdinç Hatemoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Erdeniz Teber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reşat İlcan in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erdeniz Teber saved Elcispor from getting behind. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

If Erdinç Hatemoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Elcispor getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Bayram Balatekin hit a great ball. Zeki Sidar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hüseyin Rahmi Özgu in the 63rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Aytekin Resulhan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zeki Sidar was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Hüseyin Rahmi Özgu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elcispor's Bayram Balatekin got his second yellow card of the match in the 87th minute. The referee ordered Bayram Balatekin off the ground. The supporters of Kadiköy booed when Elcispor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bayram Balatekin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Kadiköy's Ahmet Kağan Demirman broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Erdinç Hatemoğlu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Erdeniz Teber came out and tried to block the shot, but Erdinç Hatemoğlu slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 92nd minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Kadiköy players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
