Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Erdinç Hatemoğlu started the match with the kick off. If Şemsettin Aşkın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kadiköy's Reşat İlcan got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 8 played minutes Kadiköy got a freekick which was hit by Erdinç Hatemoğlu. Şemsettin Aşkıns short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Zeki Sidar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Kadiköy:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Merinos:s goal. In the last second Zeki Sidar throw himself and got hold of the ball when Baskın Hadi in the 19thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 23 minutes into the match, Kadiköy's goal looked a bit too open when Baskın Hadi came free, but Zeki Sidar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Seyfullah Ülgen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zeki Sidar. That made the score 2-0 in the 28 minute of play. In the 33rd minute Erdinç Hatemoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şenol Sabih saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 39 played minutes Merinos got a freekick which was hit by Şemsettin Aşkın. When Evren Atacan fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kadiköy's protests and gave Evren Atacan a yellow card for diving instead. Evren Atacan kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baskın Hadi in the 43rd minute of play forced Kadiköy's goalkeeper Zeki Sidar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Kadiköy's goal looked a bit too open when Baskın Hadi came free, but Zeki Sidar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Baskın Hadi made the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 54 minutes into the game, when Hürkan Bekir put in a rough tackle. Reşat İlcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şenol Sabih having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Kadiköy's Reşat İlcan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Şenol Sabih narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Merinos's goalkeeper Şenol Sabih, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Kadiköy defense, Şemsettin Aşkın kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeki Sidar. The Kadiköy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeki Sidar should have stopped the shot. Reşat İlcan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Şenol Sabih tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Şenol Sabih showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erdinç Hatemoğlu in the 75th minute of the match. Şenol Sabih took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erdinç Hatemoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Şemsettin Aşkın received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Zeki Sidar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdurrezzak Başarman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Şemsettin Aşkın's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zeki Sidar was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Zeki Sidar came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Merinos's Şemsettin Aşkın. But to his dismay, Şemsettin Aşkın quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 94th match minute, Merinos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdurrezzak Başarman to maneuver through the defense. Merinos's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
