Spectators: 7239 (Terracing: 5431, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) İZMİT SK's Berkant Başaran started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 10 minutes into the match, İZMİT SK's goal looked a bit too open when Dinçer Gündeş came free, but Halil Can Gezer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Berkant Başaran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute, Koray Sökmener hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, İZMİT SK's Tolunay Hicran threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Berkant Başaran, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dinçer Gündeş might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Halil Can Gezer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dinçer Gündeş ran back to his position shaking his head. If Dinçer Gündeş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Yıldırım Taymaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Berkant Başaran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tolunay Hicran having to interfere. In the 30th minute, İlyas Şatıroğlu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The İZMİT SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 42 minutes into the match, Caglar's goalkeeper Tolunay Hicran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by İlyas Şatıroğlu. After 44 played minutes Caglar got a freekick which was hit by Selim Yükselir. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

53 minutes had been played when some careless play by İZMİT SK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Burhan Ulunay was slow to take the kick. During this time Caglar's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Burhan Ulunay got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Halil Can Gezer quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 56 minutes into the game, Caglar's Dinçer Gündeş nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Halil Can Gezer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 63 minutes into the match, Caglar's goal looked a bit too open when İlyas Şatıroğlu came free, but Tolunay Hicran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. İlyas Şatıroğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 68 minutes into the match, İZMİT SK's Berkant Başaran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tolunay Hicran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yıldırım Taymaz in the 75th minute of play forced İZMİT SK's goalkeeper Halil Can Gezer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Berkant Başaran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tolunay Hicran having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, İZMİT SK's Berkant Başaran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tolunay Hicran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dinçer Gündeş's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Halil Can Gezer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Selim Yükselir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, İZMİT SK's Nejat Alp Pamir tried to score from far away in the 94th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
