Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Alphan Kaygun started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Karaburun JK's goalkeeper Rahim Baray, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Seyhun Bedel hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute Talip Sahir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rahim Baray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mehmet Fatih Yaren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Kutalp Kabataş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mehmet Fatih Yaren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Karaburun JK's goal looked a bit too open when Devlet Cebir came free, but Rahim Baray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Devlet Cebir in the 25th minute of play forced Karaburun JK's goalkeeper Rahim Baray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mehmet Fatih Yaren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ali Galip Sabuncuoğlu during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ali Galip Sabuncuoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Devlet Cebir in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rahim Baray prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Talip Sahir managed to get in a good position for a shot. Giresun's supporters rose to their feet, but Talip Sahir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rahim Baray breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 42 minutes into the match, Devlet Cebir had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rahim Baray. Karaburun JK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Devlet Cebir was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Karaburun JK's zone, Talip Sahir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rahim Baray came out of the goal and Talip Sahir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Devlet Cebir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rahim Baray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Talip Sahir, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Rahim Baray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Devlet Cebir in the 60th minute of play. Alphan Kaygun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the game, Karaburun JK's Alphan Kaygun nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kutalp Kabataş made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Talip Sahir took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rahim Baray. Rahim Baray dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Devlet Cebir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kutalp Kabataş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Fatih Yaren in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Mehmet Fatih Yaren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kutalp Kabataş was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. 93 minutes into the match, Karaburun JK's goalkeeper Rahim Baray had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Devlet Cebir. In the 95th minute Talip Sahir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rahim Baray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Giresun eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
