An unexpectedly hard shot by Şimşek Günden in the 9th minute of play forced Demirbilekspor's goalkeeper Rafet Yazgı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Zonguldakspor FK's Şimşek Günden sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafet Yazgı narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Abdullatif İğdemir blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafet Yazgı having to make a save. In the 18th minute Erol Karacan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Güral Emekli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafet Yazgı didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abdullatif İğdemir went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Aytek Hürol kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Demirbilekspor's goal looked a bit too open when Abdullatif İğdemir came free, but Rafet Yazgı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafet Yazgı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şimşek Günden in the 25th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Baturhan Doğa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erol Karacan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erol Karacan in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Güral Emekli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute, Demirbilekspor's Erol Karacan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Güral Emekli. Güral Emekli yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 40th minute, Bekir Şahbey left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Demirbilekspor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After 43 played minutes Demirbilekspor got a freekick which was hit by Erol Karacan. Bekir Şahbey struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Güral Emekli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Demirbilekspor. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Şimşek Günden stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Erol Karacan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With 54 minutes on the clock, Baturalp Koçarslanoğlu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Ahmet İlke Zülfü shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 62 minutes into the match, Demirbilekspor's Erol Karacan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Güral Emekli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Güral Emekli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erol Karacan, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Zonguldakspor FK's Güral Emekli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bekir Şahbey in the 71st minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Demirbilekspor's Bekir Şahbey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Güral Emekli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The supporters of Demirbilekspor booed when Zonguldakspor FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehmet Cuma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Güral Emekli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erol Karacan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Abdullatif İğdemir got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bekir Şahbey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abdullatif İğdemir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafet Yazgı having to interfere. Erol Karacan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Güral Emekli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Berkay Sami sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bekir Şahbey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Demirbilekspor were the better team. Demirbilekspor's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
