Yiğitcan İsfendiyar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ataol Çağlar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ataol Çağlar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hüseyin Rahmi Ulağ, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yiğitcan İsfendiyar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Balikesir's Nazil Safvet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arif Oğuz Soysaltürk in the 16th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Arif Oğuz Soysaltürk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KIRIKKALE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When Balikesir's Hüseyin Rahmi Ulağ, in the 26th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Balikesir. Hüseyin Rahmi Ulağ kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Ataol Çağlar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hüseyin Rahmi Ulağ's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Recai Soyselçuk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ataol Çağlar having to make a save. Yiğitcan İsfendiyar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 57th minute Fikret Urza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nazil Safvet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Recai Soyselçuk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Recai Soyselçuk shot from long distance in the 69th minute, but Ataol Çağlar was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. The referee felt a red card was in order, 72 minutes into the game, when Abdulbaki Haşmetli put in a rough tackle. In the 72nd match minute, Balikesir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdulbaki Haşmetli to maneuver through the defense. Nazil Safvet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deniz Osmanlıoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Hüseyin Rahmi Ulağ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in KIRIKKALE's zone, Recai Soyselçuk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ataol Çağlar came out of the goal and Recai Soyselçuk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, KIRIKKALE could leave the field as winners, despite Balikesir having more of the ball for most of the match.
