In a very dangerous position, a player in KIRIKKALE fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 3rd minute. Penalty! Arif Oğuz Soysaltürk charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arif Oğuz Soysaltürk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th minute, Yiğitcan İsfendiyar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Recai Soyselçuk came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Balikesir fans jumped to their feet. KIRIKKALE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Balikesir the free kick. During the 15th minute of the match Deniz Osmanlıoğlu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Deniz Osmanlıoğlu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 16th minute, Deniz Osmanlıoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 17 minutes, Recai Soyselçuk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balikesir's supporters crossed their fingers, but Recai Soyselçuk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hüseyin Rahmi Ulağ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ataol Çağlar having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Buğra Geylanoğullarından managed to get in a good position for a shot. KIRIKKALE's supporters rose to their feet, but Buğra Geylanoğullarından was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 36th minute of the match Korhan Vefai sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nazil Safvet skillfully saved the ball. Hüseyin Rahmi Ulağ received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ataol Çağlar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Buğra Geylanoğullarından sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Fikret Urza's late challenge caught a Balikesir's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
