Galatasaray's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 6th minute of the game, when Vatan Temirkut after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Earen's goal. Vatan Temirkut was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. When Doruk Ayçetin came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Galatasaray fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doruk Ayçetin couldn't finish the play. Abdulkadir Bülbül hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Feyzullay Nuralp in the 25th managed to get into a good position. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Çeliker Tolgan was the one to do the kick off.
