After 14 minutes of play, Istanbul FK's Tamer Uçar made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ahmet Boran Yıldırımtürk was left in no man's land by his defense there! 19 minutes into the match, Istanbul FK's goal looked a bit too open when Zafer Acabey came free, but Ferid Ülke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mustafa Ali Emekli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Cihat Oykan sped through Cizre FK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ahmet Boran Yıldırımtürk. Cizre FK's Ahmet Boran Yıldırımtürk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cihat Oykan in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute of the match, Zafer Acabey tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ferid Ülke saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 29 minutes into the match, Istanbul FK's goalkeeper Ferid Ülke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mümtaz Mutluay. Lütfü Hazarbeyoğlu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 30 minutes into the match. Yaşar Nuri Saim shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Ferid Ülke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zafer Acabey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ferid Ülke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zafer Acabey in the 39th minute of play. If Mustafa Ali Emekli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmet Boran Yıldırımtürk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustafa Ali Emekli in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th minute Zafer Acabey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferid Ülke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zafer Acabey to make the kick off. If Mustafa Ali Emekli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Istanbul FK's Mustafa Ali Emekli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ahmet Boran Yıldırımtürk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 81 minutes into the game, Mustafa Ali Emekli recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ahmet Boran Yıldırımtürk. Mustafa Ali Emekli showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Ferid Ülke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zafer Acabey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tamer Uçar fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Istanbul FK's protests and gave Tamer Uçar a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Istanbul FK's Tamer Uçar got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 87th match minute, Cizre FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mümtaz Mutluay to maneuver through the defense. Ali Macit Salur's late challenge caught a Cizre FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ali Macit Salur helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Istanbul FK getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Ali Macit Salur hit a great ball. Mustafa Ali Emekli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ahmet Boran Yıldırımtürk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
