Burhan Canbulat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Okanalp Kudretullah went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Akcakoca's Hakkı Devrim Karasu got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doğan Sayrak in the 38th minute of play forced BABAKÖY SK's goalkeeper Göksel Murat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 minutes of play, Akcakoca's Aydemir İksir made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Göksel Murat was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hakkı Devrim Karasu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kandemir Taşkesen to make the kick off. Aydemir İksir's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Göksel Murat read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. In the 70th minute Kandemir Taşkesen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Burhan Canbulat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sümer Derdiyok had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Okanalp Kudretullah could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Burhan Canbulat made a huge save. Göksel Murat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Buğrahan Öktemer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Sümer Derdiyok left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
