Spectators: 6666 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 0) IzmirSpor's Boran Üstam started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, IzmirSpor's İlhami Mengü got control of the ball when Mehmet Anıl Şahan tried to sneak it across the goal line. İlhami Mengü made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Anıl Şahan in the 4th minute of play. Tevfik Vefi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulu Salahaddin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, Idealtepe's goal looked a bit too open when Boran Üstam came free, but Tevfik Vefi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. İlhami Mengü made an important save on a dangerous shot by Utkan Albay in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adil Nurtekin in the 14th minute of play forced IzmirSpor's goalkeeper İlhami Mengü to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Asım Arif Özdoruk hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. İsmail Cem Çiltay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Tevfik Vefi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 23 played minutes Idealtepe got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Anıl Şahan. In the 24th minute, Ulu Salahaddin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulu Salahaddin hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute of the match, Utkan Albay got a very nice opportunity to score, but İlhami Mengü was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Boran Üstam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cihat Şükür's late challenge caught a IzmirSpor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cihat Şükür helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Idealtepe's Cihat Şükür got a free kick in the 35th minute. Tevfik Vefi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulu Salahaddin went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Idealtepe's zone, Ulu Salahaddin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tevfik Vefi came out of the goal and Ulu Salahaddin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Utkan Albay got free with İlhami Mengü in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Idealtepe players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. IzmirSpor were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adil Nurtekin to make the kick off. Tevfik Vefi was a little too slow when İsmail Cem Çiltay got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 0-2. Tevfik Vefi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İsmail Cem Çiltay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aydın Salahaddin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ulu Salahaddin came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the IzmirSpor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulu Salahaddin couldn't finish the play. Adil Nurtekin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İlhami Mengü having to interfere. Mehmet Anıl Şahan charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mehmet Anıl Şahan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Idealtepe's Tevfik Vefi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boran Üstam in the 65th minute of play. If İsmail Cem Çiltay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute of the match Asım Arif Özdoruk sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but İlhami Mengü skillfully saved the ball. In the 74th minute of the match, İsmail Cem Çiltay tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tevfik Vefi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Boran Üstam charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Boran Üstam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Boran Üstam blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tevfik Vefi having to make a save. İsmail Cem Çiltay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aydın Salahaddin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Tevfik Vefi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boran Üstam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Idealtepe fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! In the 92nd minute there was a penalty for IzmirSpor. Temel Karanalp stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tevfik Vefi. 0-3. Tevfik Vefi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulu Salahaddin in the 98th minute of play. IzmirSpor's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Temel Karanalp in the 99th minute. IzmirSpor played a much better game than Idealtepe and deserved their victory. The Idealtepe players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
