Süreyya Keşif made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Cevdet Okatay sent off a good shot on target. In the 18th minute Olgun Şahbender shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Kadri Şahit saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Olgun Şahbender's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ahmet Kadri Şahit was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Ahmet Kadri Şahit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ruby. Münir Melik's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Süreyya Keşif firmly grabbed it by the left post. Süreyya Keşif made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Cevdet Okatay sent off a good shot on target. Ahmet Kadri Şahit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olgun Şahbender in the 47th minute of the match.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olgun Şahbender in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmet Kadri Şahit saved Gültepe SK from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Gültepe SK's Barış Sorgun got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Olgun Şahbender managed to get in a good position for a shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmet Kadri Şahit prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Gültepe SK booed when Ruby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bilge Kağan User didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Özden Haznedaroğlu came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Gültepe SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Özden Haznedaroğlu couldn't finish the play.
