Spectators: 7199 (Terracing: 5401, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Osman Ali Oktan took the kick off in the first half of the match. Yahya Yalazabey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Ahmet Kadri Şahit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gültepe SK's Münir Melik got a free kick in the 12th minute. Münir Melik hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Haluk Başkara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ahmet Kadri Şahit was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 21st minute Osman Ali Oktan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erkut Utkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, JUAN JUAN's Yahya Yalazabey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ahmet Kadri Şahit made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The referee felt a red card was in order, 26 minutes into the game, when Aybars Midilli put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in JUAN JUAN fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Erkut Utkan, was totally fooled by Gültepe SK's Özden Haznedaroğlu, who 29 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 31st minute Barış Sorgun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erkut Utkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmet Kadri Şahit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haluk Başkara in the 42nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Gültepe SK defense, Selçuk Keykavus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ahmet Kadri Şahit. The Gültepe SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ahmet Kadri Şahit should have stopped the shot. After the first half JUAN JUAN were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Haluk Başkara made a kick off. Barış Sorgun scored 2-4 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erkut Utkan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Haluk Başkara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 57 minutes into the match, JUAN JUAN's Nihat Uğursoy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ahmet Kadri Şahit narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Haluk Başkara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmet Kadri Şahit read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. A hard shot 62 in the game by Haluk Başkara from a close distance when the talented Ahmet Kadri Şahit managed to make a qualified save. Gültepe SK's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Gültepe SK's zone, Korkutalp İlkutay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Kadri Şahit came out of the goal and Korkutalp İlkutay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Haluk Başkara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Ahmet Kadri Şahit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gültepe SK's Ahmet Kadri Şahit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haluk Başkara in the 68th minute of play. A collision led to JUAN JUAN getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Fethi Ceceli hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, Haluk Başkara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ahmet Kadri Şahit. Gültepe SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Haluk Başkara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. After a rather tough play, Gültepe SK's Barış Sorgun got a free kick in the 75th minute. Haluk Başkara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Ahmet Kadri Şahit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82ndth minute of the game Haluk Başkara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gültepe SK's Ahmet Kadri Şahit was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Haluk Başkara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ahmet Kadri Şahit. That made the score 2-6 in the 85 minute of play. If Haluk Başkara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Selçuk Keykavus kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 94th match minute, JUAN JUAN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Korkutalp İlkutay to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Münir Melik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gültepe SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Münir Melik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erkut Utkan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. JUAN JUAN's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
