In the 41st minute, Ahmet Korcan Doğan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Denizlispor's goalkeeper Zekai Akşit had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kamil Erzincanlı. After the first half Denizlispor were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The tension between the Bayrampaşa and the Denizlispor players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bayrampaşa fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! If Ahmet Korcan Doğan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adem Tunak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ümit Yağmurdereli in the 101st minute. When the match was over Denizlispor could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bayrampaşa throughout the match.
