The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5thth minute of the game Tarkan Taşboğa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yolcu Spor's Seçkin Hidayettin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dursun Ali Berksan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Seçkin Hidayettin having to make a save. If Mehmet Emre Öztaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Yeşil Güç getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Mazhar Orhan hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cankut Resul in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cemil Baştugay saved Yeşil Güç from getting behind. In the 25th minute, Baykam Sarıdoğan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cemil Baştugay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cankut Resul, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After a rather tough play, Yolcu Spor's Güven Onural got a free kick in the 29th minute. Cemil Baştugay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cankut Resul in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Cankut Resul managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yolcu Spor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cankut Resul was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dursun Ali Berksan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48th match minute, Yolcu Spor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Emre Öztaş to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mehmet Emre Öztaş to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, Yolcu Spor's Cemil Baştugay threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mehmet Emre Öztaş, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cemil Baştugay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehmet Emre Öztaş in the 54th minute of the match. With a little luck, Yeşil Güç's Cemil Baştugay got control of the ball when Cankut Resul tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Yolcu Spor's zone, Dursun Ali Berksan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Seçkin Hidayettin came out of the goal and Dursun Ali Berksan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dursun Ali Berksan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seçkin Hidayettin having to interfere. Cankut Resul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cemil Baştugay having to interfere. Mehmet Emre Öztaş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cankut Resul during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 87th minute, Cankut Resul ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cemil Baştugay was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Dursun Ali Berksan might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Seçkin Hidayettin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dursun Ali Berksan ran back to his position shaking his head. Mehmet Emre Öztaş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cemil Baştugay having to interfere.
