Özmen İrfan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Korcan Doğan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zekai Akşit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cemalettin İkram in the 7th minute of the match. Zekai Akşit didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cemalettin İkram went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Korcan Doğan in the 10th minute of play forced Kütahya's goalkeeper Özmen İrfan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Özmen İrfan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ümit Yağmurdereli went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Aytuğ Tekay received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zekai Akşit came out and tried to block the shot, but Aytuğ Tekay slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 16th minute. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kütahya's goalkeeper Özmen İrfan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Aytuğ Tekay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aytuğ Tekay in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zekai Akşit, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 47 minutes into the game, Özer Onural was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kütahya's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denizlispor the free kick. Özer Onural hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Ahmet Korcan Doğan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ümit Yağmurdereli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Özmen İrfan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cengizhan Reha hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Özmen İrfan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ümit Yağmurdereli in the 58th minute. If Ahmet Korcan Doğan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Asaf Settar's late challenge caught a Denizlispor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Asaf Settar helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Kütahya's Asaf Settar got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Aytuğ Tekay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Denizlispor's zone, Cemalettin İkram stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zekai Akşit came out of the goal and Cemalettin İkram tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aytuğ Tekay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Cemalettin İkram had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Kütahya's Özmen İrfan got control of the ball when Ümit Yağmurdereli tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cemalettin İkram struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Zekai Akşit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kütahya. Aytuğ Tekay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zekai Akşit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cemalettin İkram in the 84th minute of play. In the 87th minute Aytuğ Tekay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zekai Akşit saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aytuğ Tekay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Zekai Akşit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Kütahya's Özmen İrfan got control of the ball when Ümit Yağmurdereli tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zekai Akşit came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Kütahya's Aytuğ Tekay. But to his dismay, Aytuğ Tekay quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Kütahya's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
