Olgun Karluk charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olgun Karluk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tarlabasi's Olgun Karluk got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Ali Faruk Özsungur came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Tarlabasi's Gürol Tanaydin. But to his dismay, Gürol Tanaydin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Rahim Taycan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catalca FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Rahim Taycan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Naci Rafetoğulları breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The audience cheered loudly when Hasan Tahsin Demirci's long shot in the 82nd minute became 1-4 when the ball went to the left of and passed Ali Faruk Özsungur. Binali Ağaverdi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
