Göksun Saban's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ayberk Mertel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Simav was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teoman Omural to maneuver through the defense. After 41 minutes, Dündar Keskin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ISPARTAGÜLKENTspor and the Simav players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dündar Keskin hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 54th minute of the match Arda Eraksan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Turan Şahoğlu skillfully saved the ball. Ayberk Mertel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dündar Keskin in the 62nd minute of the match. Dündar Keskin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ayberk Mertel having to interfere. İlmi Ballıoğlu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ayberk Mertel came out and tried to block the shot, but İlmi Ballıoğlu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 63rd minute. Turan Şahoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gündüz Beşir in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute Gündüz Beşir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Turan Şahoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simav's Ayberk Mertel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dündar Keskin in the 87th minute of play. Turan Şahoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gündüz Beşir in the 94th minute of play. İskender Akçam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ayberk Mertel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ISPARTAGÜLKENTspor were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
