Edirnekapi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Savaş Önateş was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ahmet Seyfi Özmen, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ahmet Kağan İpekçi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Savaş Önateş, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Bedirhan Bozdağ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şadi Canıtez having to interfere. The supporters of Edirnekapi booed when Yaglidere was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Müfit Arslanşah didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Savaş Önateş in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. When Ahmet Kağan Hallaçoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Yaglidere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Kağan Hallaçoğlu couldn't finish the play. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Yaglidere's goalkeeper Ahmet Kağan İpekçi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bedirhan Bozdağ could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Şadi Canıtez made a huge save. The Yaglidere players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
