A collision led to Kurucasile getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. İsa Demirkan hit a great ball. After having played for 8 minutes, Turgut Mertkal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Edirnekapi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Turgut Mertkal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11thth minute of the game Ahmet Korkut Kutunalp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Edirnekapi's Şadi Canıtez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Korkut Kutunalp in the 16th minute of play forced Edirnekapi's goalkeeper Şadi Canıtez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ahmet Korkut Kutunalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Şadi Canıtez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 24 minutes of play, Kurucasile's Ahmet Korkut Kutunalp made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Şadi Canıtez was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Tümer Yalkı sped through Edirnekapi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Şadi Canıtez. Şadi Canıtez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tümer Yalkı in the 36th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Savaş Önateş kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mücahit Cesur. That made the score 2-2 in the 39 minute of play. Turgut Mertkal struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Mücahit Cesur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Edirnekapi. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Tümer Yalkı made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute of the match Ahmet Seyfi Özmen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mücahit Cesur skillfully saved the ball. In the 58th minute, Turgut Mertkal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Edirnekapi's Şadi Canıtez got control of the ball when Ahmet Korkut Kutunalp tried to sneak it across the goal line. Savaş Önateş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mücahit Cesur having to interfere. Muhsin Sait kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Ahmet Korkut Kutunalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Şadi Canıtez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mücahit Cesur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Turgut Mertkal, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Şadi Canıtez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tümer Yalkı in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of Kurucasile booed when Edirnekapi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Turgut Mertkal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mücahit Cesur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Savaş Önateş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the game, one of Kurucasile:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After having played for 100 minutes, Tümer Yalkı managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kurucasile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tümer Yalkı was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
