In the 5th match minute, Galatasaray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karadeniz Adısönmez to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, Cine's Rüknettin Tamkut broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Hasan Ali Uzkan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ekber Gülerce in the 7th minute of play. Ersan Akkoç made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 9thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Hasan Ali Uzkan would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Ekber Gülerce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cine's Ersan Akkoç got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Kutlay Önen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ersan Akkoç came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Cine fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ersan Akkoç couldn't finish the play. In the 16th match minute, Galatasaray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karadeniz Adısönmez to maneuver through the defense. Galatasaray's Hasan Ali Uzkan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Galatasaray from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute, Ersan Akkoç reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hasan Ali Uzkan. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 23rd minute, Ersan Akkoç made a precise shot to the right of Hasan Ali Uzkan. Galatasaray's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Zafer Afşaroğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ersan Akkoç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hasan Ali Uzkan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cine. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Beyhan Ruhi to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Cine's Zafer Afşaroğlu got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Cine's Ersan Akkoç got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Galatasaray's Hasan Ali Uzkan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeki Ulvi in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute Karadeniz Adısönmez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Neşat Usluer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ekber Gülerce fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cine's protests and gave Ekber Gülerce a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th minute, Ekber Gülerce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee ended the match the Cine players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
