Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tevfik Sarvan got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in AĞRI SSK's zone, Tevfik Sarvan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fikri Özyay came out of the goal and Tevfik Sarvan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 5 played minutes AĞRI SSK got a freekick which was hit by Tuğrul Budaklı. When Tevfik Sarvan came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the GALATASARAY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tevfik Sarvan couldn't finish the play. Suat Kartekin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tevfik Sarvan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fikri Özyay having to interfere. If Özdemir Üngörmüş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 29 minutes, Suat Kartekin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AĞRI SSK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Suat Kartekin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Akif Heybetli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Utku Beyhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Tevfik Sarvan managed to get in a good position for a shot. GALATASARAY's supporters rose to their feet, but Tevfik Sarvan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fikri Özyay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When GALATASARAY's Tevfik Sarvan in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AĞRI SSK's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Akif Heybetli in the 38th minute of play forced GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Utku Beyhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Suat Kartekin to make the kick off. Suat Kartekin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Utku Beyhan having to interfere. Fikri Özyay didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tevfik Sarvan went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 71 minutes into the match, AĞRI SSK's Akif Heybetli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Utku Beyhan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kandemir Atik's late challenge caught a GALATASARAY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kandemir Atik helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th minute, Kandemir Atik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Akif Heybetli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fikri Özyay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tevfik Sarvan in the 85th minute of play. Tevfik Sarvan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fikri Özyay having to interfere.
