Songurbey Ballıs short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Utku Beyhan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kazım Şirvan was the one to do the kick off. Utku Beyhan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Songurbey Ballı's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Utku Beyhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kazım Şirvan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's Özdemir Üngörmüş sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alf Möllgren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Utku Beyhan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kazım Şirvan went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 71stth minute of the game Songurbey Ballı who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GALATASARAY's Utku Beyhan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Utku Beyhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Songurbey Ballı, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Songurbey Ballı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute Songurbey Ballı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Utku Beyhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the GALATASARAY defense, Kazım Şirvan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Utku Beyhan. The GALATASARAY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Utku Beyhan should have stopped the shot. Zile's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
