The supporters of Baskale booed when Karaagac was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Gökalp Güler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baskale's Birsel Tosun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Baskale from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Baskale's zone, Ahmet Göktuğ Karakan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Birsel Tosun came out of the goal and Ahmet Göktuğ Karakan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Baskale's Vatan Turabi got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute, Halit Fahri Ayıkoğlu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Mehmet Halis Ülgen might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Birsel Tosun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mehmet Halis Ülgen ran back to his position shaking his head. When Ahmet Göktuğ Karakan, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 47 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Birsel Tosun was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Halit Fahri Ayıkoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birsel Tosun having to interfere. 61 minutes into the game, Baskale's Hüseyin Can Şenyurt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ahmet Necdet Tansoy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Karaagac had played much better football throughout.
