After 5 minutes, Bahattin Buğra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sarayburnu and the Afjet Afyonspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 5 played minutes Sarayburnu got a freekick which was hit by Bahattin Buğra. Mustafa Haydar Kuntay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tuğrul Uman in the 9th minute of the match. After having played for 12 minutes, Tuğrul Uman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarayburnu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tuğrul Uman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute Süruri Suay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mustafa Haydar Kuntay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Güral Tecelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 20 minutes, Tuğrul Uman made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Afjet Afyonspor's Mustafa Haydar Kuntay tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Yavuz Selim Zeval took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Nuralp Tunçaslan to make any attempt to save it. Nuralp Tunçaslan made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Güral Tecelli sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Yavuz Selim Zeval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Nuralp Tunçaslan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Sarayburnu players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
