Kulilk's Acar Koçarslan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Çetin Çelenk in the 7th minute of play. Tamer Tokel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ataol Cerit in the 11th minute of play. Tamer Tokel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ataol Cerit, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Çetin Çelenk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Şadi Niyazi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Acar Koçarslan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ataol Cerit to strike the kick off in the second half. Doğan Bayram received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Tamer Tokel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doğan Bayram struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Tamer Tokel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kulilk. In the 75th match minute, Kulilk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lütfi Belek to maneuver through the defense.
