Sorgun's Aras Görkem Akdurmuş proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Sorgun from getting a goal against them. Alişan Tekgül hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Aslanlar's İslam Kuthan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aras Görkem Akdurmuş. That made the score 1-0 after 29 minutes of play. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Aslanlar's goalkeeper Ilgaz Uraltay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 37 minutes into the game, Sorgun's Şamil Toycan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ilgaz Uraltay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If İslam Kuthan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Şamil Toycan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilgaz Uraltay having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eralp Yenay made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, İstemihan Nesip had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aras Görkem Akdurmuş. Sorgun's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that İstemihan Nesip was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. İslam Kuthan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aras Görkem Akdurmuş having to make a save. Ilgaz Uraltay was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eralp Yenay showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 58 minute of play. Eralp Yenay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Şamil Toycan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Şamil Toycan got free with Ilgaz Uraltay in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Eralp Yenay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ilgaz Uraltay was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. If İstemihan Nesip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Şamil Toycan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Kayacan İlter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. İstemihan Nesip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ilgaz Uraltay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şamil Toycan in the 92nd minute of play. If Eralp Yenay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Aslanlar booed when Sorgun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Recai Ünlem didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, İslam Kuthan made a precise shot to the right of Aras Görkem Akdurmuş. Sorgun's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Aslanlar fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sorgun had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
