The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ahmet Kutsi İlkay hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Cihangir Kazanhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Mehmet Ediz Şahruh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 12 minutes, Cihangir Kazanhan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altinekin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cihangir Kazanhan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 13 minutes into the game, Kılıçalp Balkar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cesur Futbol Akademisi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Altinekin the free kick. In the 13th minute, Kılıçalp Balkar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute Cahit Süner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Ediz Şahruh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Altinekin's Cihat Candemir got a free kick in the 16th minute. Halit Ziya Nedret's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Atilla Tekin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cihangir Kazanhan in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mehmet Ediz Şahruh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cahit Süner blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mehmet Ediz Şahruh having to make a save. The long shot by Abdi Mehmet Başkaya in the 28th minute really tested Atilla Tekin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Atilla Tekin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Halit Ziya Nedret in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cihangir Kazanhan in the 32nd minute of play forced Cesur Futbol Akademisi's goalkeeper Mehmet Ediz Şahruh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mehmet Ediz Şahruh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustafa Birol Nahit in the 34th minute of the match. Altinekin's Mustafa Birol Nahit got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44thth minute of the game Cihangir Kazanhan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cesur Futbol Akademisi's Mehmet Ediz Şahruh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Özgür Burçak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Cahit Süner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Altinekin's supporters rose to their feet, but Cahit Süner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehmet Ediz Şahruh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cihangir Kazanhan made a kick off. 53 minutes in the game, Mustafa Birol Nahit fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mehmet Ediz Şahruh having to interfere. Özgür Burçak was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 54th minute, Özgür Burçak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Halit Ziya Nedret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mehmet Ediz Şahruh was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Mustafa Birol Nahit capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mustafa Birol Nahit really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Mehmet Ediz Şahruh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cihangir Kazanhan in the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hüsrev Yetener in the 64th minute of play forced Altinekin's goalkeeper Atilla Tekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Altinekin getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Cihangir Kazanhan hit a great ball. Mehmet Ediz Şahruh came out of the goal and Mustafa Birol Nahit tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 87 minutes of play, Cesur Futbol Akademisi's Kılıçalp Balkar made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Atilla Tekin was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 91 minutes, Cihangir Kazanhan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altinekin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cihangir Kazanhan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Cesur Futbol Akademisi's goal looked a bit too open when Cahit Süner came free, but Mehmet Ediz Şahruh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Cihangir Kazanhan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mehmet Ediz Şahruh. Cihangir Kazanhan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. In the 97th minute, Cesur Futbol Akademisi's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cahit Süner fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
