Cesur İlter started the match with the kick off. Balıkesirspors's Metin Şahit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Buğrahan Pınar in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th match minute, 68AKSARAYSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Buğrahan Pınar to maneuver through the defense. Tuna Dalokay took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ahmet Davut Tercan. 68AKSARAYSPOR's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Balıkesirspors booed when 68AKSARAYSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eray Vefi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Alican Yetişen managed to get in a good position for a shot. 68AKSARAYSPOR's supporters rose to their feet, but Alican Yetişen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Metin Şahit breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ahmet Davut Tercan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mustafa Kemal Babürşah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tuna Dalokay hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Alican Yetişen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Metin Şahit was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Ahmet Davut Tercan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustafa Kemal Babürşah, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 36th minute of the match Gafur Tara shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ahmet Davut Tercan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 44th minute, Gürhan Kılıçdaroğlu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ahmet Davut Tercan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mustafa Kemal Babürşah made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gürhan Kılıçdaroğlu got free with Ahmet Davut Tercan in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 63 minutes into the game, Gürhan Kılıçdaroğlu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ahmet Davut Tercan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 68 minutes into the match, Gürhan Kılıçdaroğlu notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of 68AKSARAYSPOR's Ahmet Davut Tercan. Ahmet Davut Tercan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gürhan Kılıçdaroğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Ahmet Davut Tercan made a huge save. 76 minutes into the game, Buğrahan Pınar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 68AKSARAYSPOR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Balıkesirspors the free kick. In the 76th minute, Buğrahan Pınar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gürhan Kılıçdaroğlu took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ahmet Davut Tercan. Ahmet Davut Tercan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. A collision led to 68AKSARAYSPOR getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Eray Vefi hit a great ball. When Gürhan Kılıçdaroğlu came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Balıkesirspors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gürhan Kılıçdaroğlu couldn't finish the play. After having played for 91 minutes, İlhan Topuz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 68AKSARAYSPOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but İlhan Topuz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ahmet Davut Tercan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 95th minute, which inside left pole to 1-5. Balıkesirspors's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
