The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Buğrahan Pınar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tayfun Seyhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Davut Tercan having to interfere. 68AKSARAYSPOR's Ahmet Davut Tercan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faik Oncel in the 6th minute of play. Gökcan Siralp hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, 68AKSARAYSPOR's Cesur İlter dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Ahmet Fikret Özakay made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Buğrahan Pınar sent off a good shot on target. 24 minutes into the match, 68AKSARAYSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Faik Oncel came free, but Ahmet Davut Tercan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If İlhan Topuz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tayfun Seyhan in the 29th minute of play forced 68AKSARAYSPOR's goalkeeper Ahmet Davut Tercan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ahmet Davut Tercan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Efe Tezkan, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The audience was convinced that Cesur İlter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ahmet Fikret Özakay was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 37th minute, one of 68AKSARAYSPOR:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for 68AKSARAYSPOR. In the 40th minute there was a penalty for Cayirli. Gökcan Siralp stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ahmet Davut Tercan. 1-1. Faik Oncel struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Ahmet Davut Tercan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cayirli. Ahmet Davut Tercan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faik Oncel in the 45th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cesur İlter stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Barbaros Emiroğlu's late challenge caught a Cayirli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Barbaros Emiroğlu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 50th minute, Barbaros Emiroğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute Tayfun Seyhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Davut Tercan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Alican Yetişen managed to get in a good position for a shot. 68AKSARAYSPOR's supporters rose to their feet, but Alican Yetişen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet Fikret Özakay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tayfun Seyhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cayirli's zone, Alican Yetişen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Fikret Özakay came out of the goal and Alican Yetişen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ahmet Davut Tercan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tayfun Seyhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Buğrahan Pınar hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. The long shot by Gökcan Siralp in the 82nd minute really tested Ahmet Davut Tercan's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Tacettin Yetkin took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ahmet Fikret Özakay. Ahmet Fikret Özakay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Faik Oncel got free with Ahmet Davut Tercan in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ahmet Fikret Özakay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesur İlter in the 91st minute of the match. After 91 minutes, Türker Yağız mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cayirli and the 68AKSARAYSPOR players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, Cayirli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Türker Yağız to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the match, 68AKSARAYSPOR's goalkeeper Ahmet Davut Tercan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Faik Oncel. Türker Yağız could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Ahmet Davut Tercan made a huge save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The 68AKSARAYSPOR fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cayirli had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
