With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hamdullah Özerek in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yusuf Ziya Başkaya saved Dörtdivan from getting behind. Karagümrük's Aktan Beybolat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afşar Safvet in the 21st minute of play. After 22 played minutes Karagümrük got a freekick which was hit by Aytuğ Battal. When Anıl Cenk Şahinter fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dörtdivan's protests and gave Anıl Cenk Şahinter a yellow card for diving instead. The goalkeeper, Yusuf Ziya Başkaya, was totally fooled by Karagümrük's Necat Orkun, who 31 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 34 minutes in the game, Hamdullah Özerek dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Doğuş Keskin kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Necat Orkun succeeded in the game's 38th minute to get real power on a long shot . Dörtdivan's Yusuf Ziya Başkaya hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 2-0! Özkan Omural struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Yusuf Ziya Başkaya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karagümrük. Mustafa Haydar Mansur's late challenge caught a Karagümrük's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
