Diyarbakirspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hacı Ali Civanbaht was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rahmi Karun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ateş Orbay kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute of the match Şakir Orkut sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but İsmail Eskicioğlu skillfully saved the ball. İsmail Eskicioğlu came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Diyarbakirspor's Rahmi Karun. But to his dismay, Rahmi Karun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Fatih Semi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fatih Semi was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, GÜLTEPE SPOR's İsmail Eskicioğlu got control of the ball when Cumali Akergin tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rahmi Karun got free with İsmail Eskicioğlu in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Devlet Darga was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. After some careless play in the Diyarbakirspor defense, Fatih Semi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egemen Gümüşcüoğlu. The Diyarbakirspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egemen Gümüşcüoğlu should have stopped the shot.
