After 25 played minutes, Nevşehir's Yakup Vefi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Raik Kartekin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. The Nevşehir fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When Peker Özertan came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Nevşehir fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peker Özertan couldn't finish the play. The referee ignored Nevşehir's protests and gave Kadir Atasan a yellow card for diving instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Peker Özertan made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 78 minutes, Peker Özertan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nevşehir's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peker Özertan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st match minute, Gaski JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ertan Arısal to maneuver through the defense. Tekin Gürler struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Kutluay Kongur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gaski JK. In the 99th minute, Tekin Gürler made a precise shot to the right of Kutluay Kongur. Nevşehir's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
