Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nuh Efe took the kick off in the first half of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tuncay Başhekim in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sercan Taykurt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nuh Efe struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Murathan Yaşar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kecierengücü. Murathan Yaşar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baturay Arıhan in the 8th minute of the match. After 12 played minutes Kecierengücü got a freekick which was hit by Gökhan Tümer. In the 14th minute of the match Ahmet Boran Satılmış sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Murathan Yaşar skillfully saved the ball. A hard shot 18 in the game by Karhan Muammer from a close distance when the talented Sercan Taykurt managed to make a qualified save. Kecierengücü's players were relieved. 20 minutes into the game, Altan İnan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Edirne's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kecierengücü the free kick. After 20 played minutes Edirne got a freekick which was hit by Altan İnan. Karhan Muammer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Sercan Taykurt made a huge save. 33 minutes into the game, Rahim Bayer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kecierengücü's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Edirne the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Kecierengücü:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Edirne:s goal. Baturay Arıhan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hayati Şerafeddin's late challenge caught a Edirne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hayati Şerafeddin helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kecierengücü getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Hayati Şerafeddin hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Tuncay Başhekim notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Kecierengücü's Sercan Taykurt. Sercan Taykurt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Tuncay Başhekim made the kick off in the second half. Karhan Muammer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Sercan Taykurt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sercan Taykurt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tuncay Başhekim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gökhan Tümer fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kecierengücü's protests and gave Gökhan Tümer a yellow card for diving instead. The audience was convinced that Nuh Efe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Murathan Yaşar was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Kecierengücü's zone, Tuncay Başhekim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sercan Taykurt came out of the goal and Tuncay Başhekim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sercan Taykurt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tuncay Başhekim in the 70th minute of play. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Edirne! If Baturay Arıhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Edirne's Necaettin İmren got a free kick in the 78th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ali Faruk Kabadayı during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 82nd minute, Ali Faruk Kabadayı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murathan Yaşar acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 82nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Baran Alp Kutlughan. The supporters of Edirne booed when Kecierengücü was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baturay Arıhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Kecierengücü's goal looked a bit too open when Tuncay Başhekim came free, but Sercan Taykurt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kecierengücü's Sercan Taykurt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karhan Muammer in the 87th minute of play. Gökhan Tümer was shown his second yellow card after 87 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Edirne booed when Kecierengücü was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gökhan Tümer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute Tuncay Başhekim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sercan Taykurt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Karhan Muammer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tuncay Başhekim couldn't finish the play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
