Varzob's Meriç Batırhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Gündüz Öge in the 9th minute of play. Mahsun Gök fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Kutsi Erşahan having to interfere. Melih Cevdet Cihansah kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Sarp Ergüder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bahceköy's supporters rose to their feet, but Sarp Ergüder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Meriç Batırhan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 24 minutes of play, Bahceköy's Ahmet Gündüz Öge made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. When Saip Arpacıoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Bahceköy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saip Arpacıoğlu couldn't finish the play. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Varzob! In the 41st minute there was a penalty for Bahceköy. Cemalettin Hür stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Meriç Batırhan. 0-2. When Aşır Eğriöz fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bahceköy's protests and gave Aşır Eğriöz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd match minute, Bahceköy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aşır Eğriöz to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Ahmet Gündüz Öge made the kick off in the second half. If Mahsun Gök had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. Varzob's Volkan Metehan got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Bahceköy supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bahceköy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
