Sefa Yiğitcan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of İskender Baki Tayyip's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute İskender Baki Tayyip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sefa Yiğitcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers İskender Baki Tayyip in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sefa Yiğitcan saved Afyon JK from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Afşin Akdeniz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sefa Yiğitcan. That made the score 1-0 in the 32 minute of play. Afyon JK's Sefa Yiğitcan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Afyon JK from getting a goal against them. If İskender Baki Tayyip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doğa Toktuğ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sefa Yiğitcan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It was a well-played corner which Hamza Aydın managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Sefa Yiğitcan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee felt a red card was in order, 84 minutes into the game, when Vural Davutoğlu put in a rough tackle. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Afyon JK! In the 86th minute there was a penalty for Hanönü. Yusuf Tunçtürk stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sefa Yiğitcan. 3-0. Hanönü's İskender Baki Tayyip got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hanönü's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
