The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adonis FC's Raik Evcimen suffered a sore thigh after 8 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ertaç Temizcan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ertaç Temizcan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bayezit Sefik in the 25th minute of the match. Doğa Toktuğ received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ertaç Temizcan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Adonis FC's zone, Doğa Toktuğ stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ertaç Temizcan came out of the goal and Doğa Toktuğ tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erkut Onurkan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ertaç Temizcan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doğa Toktuğ in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Doğa Toktuğ ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ertaç Temizcan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vefa İşcan to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doğa Toktuğ got free with Ertaç Temizcan in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Ertaç Temizcan managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Afyon JK's Doğa Toktuğ fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 64 minutes into the match, Afyon JK's Ahmet Hayri Timurhan broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 67 minutes into the match, Doğa Toktuğ notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Adonis FC's Ertaç Temizcan. Ertaç Temizcan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Erkut Onurkan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. Abdurrahman Bolat was shown his second yellow card after 86 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Abdurrahman Bolat kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Doğa Toktuğ could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Ertaç Temizcan made a huge save. 97 minutes into the game, Afyon JK's Doğa Toktuğ nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
