Kandemir Kabataş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vedat Ülkümen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Göztepe's Bünyamin Ağaoğlu, in the 7th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Göztepe. Talip Eğilmez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berkan Tanbey having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, FENERBAHÇE's Ercan Ruşeni sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kandemir Kabataş narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kandemir Kabataş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vedat Ülkümen in the 25th minute of play. 31 minutes into the game, Talip Eğilmez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Berkan Tanbey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Göztepe's Talip Eğilmez in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FENERBAHÇE's goalie prevented a goal. Türkeş Kayıboylu kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The FENERBAHÇE players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Göztepe were winning 0-2.

A hard shot 90 in the game by Bünyamin Ağaoğlu from a close distance when the talented Berkan Tanbey managed to make a qualified save. FENERBAHÇE's players were relieved. FENERBAHÇE's Berkan Tanbey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Talip Eğilmez in the 93rd minute of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Ercan Ruşeni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FENERBAHÇE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ercan Ruşeni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Göztepe had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
