Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Barbaros Erdoğdu in the 5th minute of play forced GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Alpay Turatekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute, Yıldıray Bektaş fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. GALATASARAY's Alpay Turatekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İlhami Ballı in the 11th minute of play. The goalkeeper, Ali Erdem Rakim, was totally fooled by GALATASARAY's Vatan Boz, who 15 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Alpay Turatekin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İlhami Ballı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 23 minutes, Ali Çağrı Oylum mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eflani and the GALATASARAY players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of GALATASARAY booed when Eflani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Çağrı Oylum didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's goal looked a bit too open when İlhami Ballı came free, but Alpay Turatekin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 29 minutes, İlhami Ballı managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eflani's supporters crossed their fingers, but İlhami Ballı was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute, Vatan Boz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baran Alp Sağıt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alpay Turatekin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, İlhami Ballı had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alpay Turatekin. GALATASARAY's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that İlhami Ballı was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If İlhami Ballı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the game, one of Eflani:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Ali Erdem Rakim, was totally fooled by GALATASARAY's Vatan Boz, who 46 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yıldıray Bektaş stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ahmet Ozan Çağnur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Eflani's goal looked a bit too open when Yıldıray Bektaş came free, but Ali Erdem Rakim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62ndth minute of the game Yıldıray Bektaş who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eflani's Ali Erdem Rakim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 66th minute Yıldıray Bektaş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Erdem Rakim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GALATASARAY's Ali Emir Yerel got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Eflani getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Günay Akhan hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Eflani defense, Ali Emir Yerel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ali Erdem Rakim. The Eflani fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ali Erdem Rakim should have stopped the shot. İlhami Ballı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Alpay Turatekin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. İsmail Hakkı Bağcı blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alpay Turatekin having to make a save. After 93 minutes, Bahadır Akkurt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GALATASARAY and the Eflani players grew even worse after the yellow card. İlhami Ballı struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Alpay Turatekin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eflani. When the referee blew the final whistle, GALATASARAY could leave the field as winners, despite Eflani having more of the ball for most of the match.
