Solhan SK's Şenol Sırat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bayram Eslem in the 8th minute of play. With his leg Mustafa Orhan Tunak managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Solhan SK's Kurtuluş Uma fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Kurtuluş Uma's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mustafa Orhan Tunak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Solhan SK's goalkeeper Şenol Sırat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Uğuralp Uzalp took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Şenol Sırat. Şenol Sırat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Kurtuluş Uma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Kurtuluş Uma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Cayiralan's Mustafa Orhan Tunak got control of the ball when Kurtuluş Uma tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 44 played minutes Cayiralan got a freekick which was hit by Olgun Ünalp. Afşar İslamoğlu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 45th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Bayram Eslem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şenol Sırat having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lütfi Betik made a kick off. After having played for 57 minutes, Lütfi Betik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Solhan SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lütfi Betik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olgun Ünalp during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Uğuralp Uzalp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Şenol Sırat made a huge save. Lütfi Betik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Orhan Tunak having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurtuluş Uma in the 83rd minute of play forced Cayiralan's goalkeeper Mustafa Orhan Tunak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uğuralp Uzalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şenol Sırat having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Güney Garip hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kurtuluş Uma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Mustafa Orhan Tunak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Lütfi Betik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kurtuluş Uma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Mustafa Orhan Tunak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Solhan SK manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Cayiralan to win.
