Spectators: 7248 (Terracing: 5437, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Baha Reyyan started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Gerze got a freekick which was hit by Vatan Oylum. In the 4th minute Şeref Nasih shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cemil Giyas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baha Reyyan might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cemil Giyas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baha Reyyan ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 13thth minute of the game Şeref Nasih who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gerze's Cemil Giyas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Gerze getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Vatan Oylum hit a great ball. When Baha Reyyan came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Eflani fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baha Reyyan couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Baha Reyyan put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cemil Giyas. Baha Reyyan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cemil Giyas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şeref Nasih, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. If Baha Reyyan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Şeref Nasih fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cemil Giyas having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Necmettin Göçer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Baha Reyyan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eflani's supporters rose to their feet, but Baha Reyyan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cemil Giyas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Eflani's Tugay Nursal got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Battal Seyyit Okan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Necmettin Göçer in the 47th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Necmettin Göçer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Baha Reyyan fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Cemil Giyas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baha Reyyan's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Ahmet İlke Sağınç's late challenge caught a Eflani's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmet İlke Sağınç helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th minute, Nuratay Ünlüsoy sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Gerze's Cemil Giyas didn't even have to move. Şeref Nasih sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61stth minute of the game Baha Reyyan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gerze's Cemil Giyas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Baha Reyyan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the match, Gerze's goal looked a bit too open when Baha Reyyan came free, but Cemil Giyas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Şeref Nasih had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baha Reyyan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şeref Nasih in the 81st minute of play forced Gerze's goalkeeper Cemil Giyas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute Baha Reyyan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cemil Giyas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Eflani's Şeref Nasih got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Cemil Giyas came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Eflani's Şeref Nasih. But to his dismay, Şeref Nasih quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Cemil Giyas was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Şeref Nasih capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Şeref Nasih really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Eflani played a much better game than Gerze and deserved their victory. The Gerze players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
